the restoration project

We believe that the Gospel has the power to change people, and that through belief in Christ, we are transferred from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of his glorious light. We are a people in transit; we are on a journey. Baptism provides a moment of confession, profession, and testimony to God’s goodness in bringing us to this point. It is not the end. It is actually a beginning, and it is a beautiful step made in obedience to Christ.

At TRP, we practice baptism by immersion. We understand baptism by immersion to be a sign of our participation in and a proclamation of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. We do not believe that this ancient ritual is necessary for salvation, nor do we believe that other modes of baptism are ineffective. Rather, we follow the example set by Jesus in his own baptism.
